The Process of Animation

Pre-Production

This stage is the planning and development phase, focusing on building the foundation for the animation.

Research & Concept Development

This involves developing the core idea and overall direction of the project.

Script-writing

A script is written to define the story, dialogue, and narrative.

Storyboard

Visual sequences of the script are created as drawings to lay out the shots and actions.

Character & Environment Design:

Detailed designs for characters, settings, and other visual assets are created.

Production

This is the stage where the animation is created using various tools and techniques.

Asset Creation

Depending on the style, this can involve modelling 3D objects, creating 2D character sprites, or preparing physical objects for stop-motion.

Rigging (3D Animation)

A digital skeleton is built for a 3D model, allowing animators to pose and move it. Animation: The core creation process where characters and objects are made to move frame by frame, using key poses and in-betweens.

Sound Recording
